FCA-regulated fintech Contis, part of the Contis Group, specializes as a provider of a banking-as-a-service (Baas) platform. Founded in 2008 by Peter Cox, Contis has grown to become the most comprehensive banking-as-a-service platform in Europe offering state-of-the-art paytech solutions.

One of the directors of Contis Group Limited is Roland Folz, a German banking veteran who is also CEO of the German Solaris Bank (PC42 profile). Apparently, Contis in the UK and Solaris Bank in Germany are connected through the acting persons.

Contis offers its BaaS platform to other payment providers enabling them an efficient and reliable technology and compliance environment.

It also offers a “next-generation” crypto-based debit card with real-time transaction funding via crypto wallets. Contis’ crypto technology has enabled Binance,  Bitpanda, and others to launch their crypto debit cards.
