CoinEx

Hong Kong based Exchange

CoinEx is a crypto exchange based in Hong Kong and issued its own CET coin. In addition to the web version of the trading terminal, there is also a mobile application. The fees are fixed and depend on the trading level and the presence or absence of VIP status.

CoinEx can be used in more than ten languages, including English, Chinese, French, and Spanish. Furthermore, it supports more than 50 fiat currencies.

The payment method for most regions and trading pairs is cryptocurrency only. However, some of the purchases in some selected regions can be made using VISA and MASTERCARD.

CoinEx offers round-the-clock customer service via email and other digital media. However, the support team does not have a clean record, as some customers have faced difficulties with trading services

CoinEx was not regulated in the past. But the company got registered in Estonia and has been a fully registered and regulated exchange since 2019.

The company was established in 2018 by Haipo Yang.

According to our research, Haipo Yang’s founder was in China for two weeks in 2019.
More precise reasons for this are unclear; according to some reports, this could have something to do with the Bitcoin ban in China.

In principle, there are no negative reports and reviews about CoinEx, but due to lax KYC regulations and mysterious background stories about its founder, we rank CoinEx in our “Orange Compliance” list.
