Equals Group Plc is a holding company in the UK fintech and forex space. It owns the FCA-regulated payment institution Spectrum Payment Services Limited d/b/a CardOneMoney (=>profile) and FairFX PLC d/b/a FairFX (=>profile). The company’s shares are listed in the AIM segment of the London Stock Exchange. By the end of Feb 2022, the company had a market capitalization of GBP 130M.
Equals Group revenue in 2021 was £40.4 million compared to £26.8 million for the same period in 2020, an impressive increase of 51%. About 75% of the turnover comes from transactions with forex clients.

Through its subsidiary, Spectrum Payment Services Ltd (SPS), the Group has access to real-time settlement accounts with the Bank of England and is a member of the UK Faster Payments Scheme, meaning customers can transfer and receive funds with immediate effect. The Group, via SPS, has also been accepted by the European Payments Council (EPC) to join the SEPA Instant and SEPA Credit Transfer schemes for Euro payments. Connecting to the SEPA schemes allows Equals customers to receive instant Euro credits to their “own-name multi-currency IBAN” and instantly send Euro payments to other scheme members.
