Verotel (powered by Bitsafe) is an Internet Payment Service Provider (IPSP) focused on the porn industry with more than 50,000 high-risk webmasters in building their online business since 1998. Verotel claims to be the first high-risk IPSP that has been given the official status of an EMI by the Dutch Central Bank.

The company is currently led by CEO, Joost Zuurbie (LinkedIn) and headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, after relocating from San Francisco 3 years ago.

Verotel is mainly a payment processor for high-risk industries, such as the adult content industry. Their variety of accounts is specifically tailored to meet all payment processing needs: from sole traders with a small website to larger merchants with a portfolio of online offerings.

They offer a variety of services to merchants, including subscription management tools, multilingual ordering sites for e-commerce and digital goods commerce, and a token-based prepayment system for customers.

In 2014, the company officials announced that it was partnering with blockchain company Bitpay to accept payments via cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin.

We could not find any irregularities around verotel and therefore rate it green
