Bettr is a neobank based in South Africa acting as a white-label partner and agent of Access Bank South Africa. It offers personal bank accounts, with all transactions managed through an iPhone or Android application.

Users can deposit money with over 1,000 partners and are available at 10,000 ATMs nationwide. There is also a free Bettr card that provides access to online purchases and services.

Bettr currently accepts its mobile bank accounts to residents of South Africa only.

Bettr was created in 2015 by the financial advisors Tobie van Zyl (Linkedin) and Andrzej Stempowski (Linkedin) under the parent company Bettr Finance.

We did not find any irregularities around the company, but there are very few reports around Bettr and there are no meaningful reviews, so we put Bettr on our “Orange Compliance” list to be on the safe side.
